Shoosrocket is excited and proud to announce the completion of various design projects on behalf of Candace Presser, LCSW. Candace is a licensed clinical social worker who works with adolescents, adults, couples and families in both individual and group therapy using various modalities that are specifically customized to meet her clients needs. In support of her growing practice, Candace hired Shoosrocket for web, print and brand services.
Shoosrocket was able to identify Candace’s “likes” and “dislikes,” her project goals and her vision for the end-result. Armed with that information, Shoosrocket embarked on the design phase. Candace’s request that the logo be simple, evoke a sense of calm and illustrate growth can be seen in the final version of the logo. The color palette for the website (pinks and browns) was also developed to further the “sense of calm,” as was the use of subtle curves throughout the site. As you will note, the homepage and each page header is anchored by a curve that runs horizontally. Not only is this feature unique and helps separate the site from others, but it also creates a more relaxed environment for the user by breaking the linear model often associated with formal settings.
Design aside, Candace’s new website offers users a lot of helpful information about Candace, her therapy practice and the services she provides. It also contains a frequently asked questions section, a resources section, a showcase for her testimonials and an interactive contact form that adapts to meet the needs of both the user and Candace. When the website design was finalized, we designed new business cards that incorporate all of the same design cues from the website including the subtle curve.
All in all, we think the entire project turned out great. More importantly, Candace loves it and we wish her all the best with her growing business.
